Candidates have 4 hours to complete the above requirements. After you complete all the above requirements, you will be awarded NCE Coating Inspector Level 1.
Coatings Inspector Program Level 2 certification is designed for Level 2 Coating Inspectors responsible for performing and documenting non-destructive/destructive inspections of liquid and non-liquid coatings to any substrate in a shop setting or under the supervision of a level 3 inspector when working in a field setting.
Requirements for CIP Level 2 Certification
Active CIP Level 1 Certification
2 years verifiable coatings related work experience
Required course: NACE CIP Level 2 Course
Required practical exam: CIP1 Level 2 practical exam
Required test: NACE-CIP2-001 Coating Inspector Level 2
Candidates also have 4 years to complete all the above requirements. After you complete all the above requirements, you will be awarded NCE Coating Inspector Level 2.
Coatings Inspector Program Level 3 Peer Review certification is designed for level 3 coating inspectors who aim to be recognized as leaders in the Coatings Inspection field.
Requirements for CIP Level 3 Certification
Application Requirement: Approved CIP Level 3 Application
Active CIP Level 2 Certification
5 years Corrosion Work Experience in Coatings
Required test: Certification Exam-CIP Level 3 Oral Exam NACE-CIP3-001
After you complete all the above requirements, you will be awarded NACE Coating Inspector Level 3.
